I capture and calibrate about ten images with the Tak TSA 102 and ST-8XME,
then using Maxim DL, I create an avi movie. This is the actual movement of
the comet over about 14 minutes. The intermittent flashes are mostly cosmic
ray hits and atmospheric phenomena. What's most amazing is that this type
of data can be captured with small home based equipment in Ojai, Ca.
Armature astronomy is very advanced these days, if you can get the right
equipment and knowledge.
